How and why has new york city changed over time?
Over the next couple months, the social studies curriculum will be centered on a content-based examination of one of the greatest communities in the world: New York City. Students will learn about the city from its founding to the present day. In examining the essential question: How and why has New York City changed over time? Class 2-317 will think critically about what factors motivated great change and why. In particular we will look closely at the geography, clothing, transportation, food, architecture, and entertainment of significant time periods, using these elements as baselines for comparison.
